Political Task Group Meets with EU Special Envoy for Cyprus Johannes Hahn

It was a pleasure to welcome Mr. Johannes Hahn, the European Commission’s Special Envoy for Cyprus, for an exchange with the Political Task Group of the Cyprus Dialogue Forum in which senior political representatives from both communities participate.

The meeting provided the opportunity for an honest exchange about the resumption of negotiations, the role of the European Union in the peace process, as well as its relations with the Turkish Cypriot community.

We thank Mr. Hahn for the constructive and open exchange and look forward to more such engagements. The Political Task Group remains committed to exploring ways to contribute to strengthening the peace process.
